This year’s CCAA Conference was held in New Orleans, LA with many attendees from Central America and the Caribbean.
The panel on Haiti had several speakers from the Private and Public sector with the focus on “Doing Business in Haiti”. There were over 60 people attending the panel with presentations on the macro economic environment, Park Caracol, Government incentives, the construction sector and on selecting the correct partners locally.
The panel generated a strong interest in Haiti, especially foreign firms that are interested in leasing space in Park Caracol. Haiti is now perceived as a competitor to Central American countries for textile and manufacturing jobs.
