Haiti Reconstruction Forum in Miami, FL

Amcham participated at the Haiti Reconstruction Forum organized by the State Department, IDB and the City of Miami. Philippe Saint-Cyr, Amcham’s Executive Director, participated on the Private Sector panel where he talked about the progress taking place in the country, the construction and expansion of several hotels and  supermarkets. However the big boom expected in low-income housing construction has yet to begin. It is important for foreign investors to identify local lawyers and accountants that can assist them in finding local partners and starting a company in Haiti. There are many opportunities for investment in Haiti in several sectors and in different regions of the country.
