As part of its commitment to engaging in national economic dialogue, AmCham Haiti was represented by Mrs. Deborah Stark, Vice President of the Board, at a key consultation meeting hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). The session, held on February 14, 2025, at the Karibe Hotel, was convened as part of a broader effort by the Ministry to promote budgetary transparency and inclusive participation in the development of the amended national budget for the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, accompanied by his senior staff, presented the main components and strategic priorities of the revised budget to representatives of civil society organizations and the private sector, emphasizing the government’s commitment to timely and systematic disclosure of public finance information. This initiative aligns with international best practices in fiscal transparency, which is defined as the full and accessible disclosure of all relevant budgetary information to the public.
