A meeting was held between AmCham Women Network, Johann Bounouni from GECA and Jael Jean-Louis Josecite from FATIMA GROUP – EKOLOJIK- MARQUIS PARADISE to discuss the implementation of a pilot training program in the Northern region in partnership with GECA. This initiative aims to provide targeted training to vulnerable communities to stimulate growth in the hospitality sector in Port-au-Prince and the Greater North. The training, intended for AMCHAM member hotels and establishments in Cap-Haïtien, will focus on assessing the sector’s specific needs, sharing skills, and generating a positive impact on the local community and customer relations.

Several key steps were outlined for implementation: assessing the needs of the hospitality sector, identifying a qualified trainer in collaboration with a recruitment agency, collecting data on hotel establishments, and establishing partnerships to provide an equipped venue and organize events such as a mini-graduation.

Next steps include identifying priority needs, organizing meetings with hoteliers, finding a trainer, reviewing and approving the curriculum with stakeholders, and determining the date, location, and necessary partners to ensure the initiative’s success.
