On July 3, 2024, the American Chamber of Commerce in Haiti (AmCham Haiti) hosted an exciting cocktail event titled “Let’s Catch Up” at the Asu Bar of the Karibe Hotel.

The U.S. Ambassador, Mr. Dennis Hankins, was the guest of honor at the event. After a warm welcome from AmCham President, Mr. Jean-Philippe Boisson, Ambassador Hankins delivered an engaging speech to the assembled guests.

The Minister of Commerce and Tourism, Mr. James Monazard, arrived early and also took the opportunity to interact with the attendees.

The evening continued with presentations from Mr. Jean-Philippe Boisson, Mrs. Tatiana Bell, and Mrs. Erika Rosenthal, who provided updates on the activities of the “Survive, Retain and Attract” committee, the “AmCham Women’s Network,” and the “US Government Relations” committee, respectively.

The event saw a large turnout of members and guests who gathered for this memorable occasion. In a relaxed atmosphere, attendees had the chance to network with AmCham board members, as well as representatives from the Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy and USAID, who engaged in conversations with several guests.

Members were delighted to reconnect after months of social activity disruptions caused by insecurity. They seized the opportunity to strengthen their professional networks.

It was a vibrant and successful evening that not only reinforced the bonds within the AmCham Haiti family but also paved the way for new collaborations.
