Amcham Haiti meets with Jose Raul Perales, Executive Director of Association of American Chambers in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA)

Amcham Haiti’s Board met with Jose Raul Perales, the Executive Director of the Association of American Chambers of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Jose Raul explained to the Board the history behind AACCLA, its resources available for local Amchams, and it provided a powerful network for Amcham Members.

The conversation also focused on how the Members and the broader private sector in general can come up with a consensus on how to lobby the US governemnt, how to change the perception of the country. The US Chamber is a powerful association in the US and Amcham Members should understand its strength and capacity to benefit the country and Amcham Members.

It has been 9 years since an AACCLA representative visited Amcham Haiti and the Board was very pleased with the visit of Jose Raul Perales who gave us a lot of tips and recommendations to improve our Amcham services, programs, and how to increase Membership.
