On April 22, 2025, AmCham Haiti Board Members Andress Appolon and Maulik Radia represented the Chamber at Haiti Day, a full-day event held as part of the World Bank’s Annual Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C.

Organized by a coalition of Haitian organizations and thought leaders, the event centered on identifying actionable solutions to support Haiti’s economic recovery and long-term growth. A key highlight was the Donor Roundtable, which focused on strengthening Haiti’s digital economy through greater access to internet connectivity, electricity, fintech development, and digital skills training particularly as a pathway to job creation for Haitian youth.

The event drew participation from major international partners, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank. Civil society leaders emphasized the critical role of women, youth, and technology in Haiti’s recovery efforts.

Also in attendance were Haitian government officials, including Minister of Economy and Finance Alfred Métellus, Minister of Planning Kethleen Florestal, and the Secretary General for Humanitarian Aid.

AmCham Haiti remains committed to engaging in high-level dialogues that promote investment, innovation, and inclusive economic development for the country.
