AmCham Haiti participates in NAAHP Conference with USAID/Atteindre

AmCham Haiti was pleased to participate in the NAAHP Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, from November 7th to 9th, 2024, as part of an invitation from MEDA, a USAID supported initiative. This impactful event brought together leaders from diverse fields to focus on workforce development strategies and enterprise growth in Haiti.

Our team’s primary engagement centered on the USAID/Atteindre Workshop: “From Ideas to Action: Building Workforce Development Strategies for Haiti,” hosted on Friday, November 8. This interactive session explored pathways to develop human resources that drive enterprise growth and inclusive economic progress in Haiti.

Key outcomes from the workshop included:

Actionable Workforce Development Strategies: Concrete steps were outlined to address workforce challenges and opportunities in Haiti.

Resource Identification: Participants pinpointed financial, technical, and human resources needed to support proposed initiatives.

Partnership Building: Opportunities for collaboration emerged among private sector entities, diaspora communities, financial institutions, and public agencies.

Follow-Up Mechanisms: Working groups and regular check-ins were established to ensure progress, accountability, and sustained momentum.

Defined Success Metrics: Clear timelines and evaluation criteria were set to measure the short- and long-term impact of these initiatives.

AmCham Haiti is proud to have contributed to this critical dialogue and looks forward to implementing strategies that will strengthen small and medium enterprises while advancing workforce development in Haiti.
