FATCA Dinner

Amcham Haiti hosts the first event on Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) where US citizens and residents must report accounts held at local banks with the aggregate amount exceeding $10,000 at any point in time during the year and if the accounts exceed $50,000, the banks must report the accounts to the IRS.

Amcham had over 120 participants from the public and private sector learning from experts from PWC and Foodman CPA and Advisors.

The event was sponsored by the local banks: Sogebank, Unibank, BNC, Scotiabank, Capital Bank and Citibank.
